Police are investigating the death of an inmate at the Saskatoon Correctional Centre.
Emergency crews responded to the jail at about 5:30 a.m. Friday. The inmate was pronounced dead a short time later, police said in a media release.
Major crimes officers are investigating his death. Detectives do not believe foul play was involved, police said.
The inmate was not remanded as a result of charges laid by the Saskatoon Police Service.
