Rutted residential streets in Saskatoon are getting a grading.

The work began Monday with 10 grading crews clearing the worst of the snow ruts and will continue throughout the weekend to get the majority of the problem areas done.

The city says it takes a lot of preparation to determine which roads are the worst and make sure they are ready for a grader to come through.

Clearing ruts more than six inches deep is part of the city’s regular service, but it can take some time to get all of the work done.

The city says it relies on the public to let them know if a street needs attention.
