The inspection of the Diefenbaker Bridge in Prince Albert is continuing for a second day.

A team of four engineers began examining the entire bridge Monday morning, including the large crack in a girder on the west side of the bridge. That crack forced the partial closure of the bridge late last month. The bridge is now down to two lanes with weight restrictions.

The team is made up of two engineers from Colorado, one from Calgary and one from Regina. They are trained to rappel the bridge using ropes. The work is being coordinated by Stantec, an engineering company.
