Operations have been temporarily halted at the Agrium Vanscoy potash mine after a worker was seriously injured.
The general manager of the mine tells CTV that the incident happened at about 2:45 a.m. on Monday when a worker was caught between two pieces of mining equipment.
The worker suffered serious injuries and was transported to hospital in Saskatoon.
Occupational health and safety is investigating and working with the potash company.
It is not known when the mine will resume operations.
