Sudden death investigation underway in Saskatoon

Saskatoon police are investigating a sudden death in the 1300 block of 8th Street East.

Police responded to the scene on Friday evening.

In a release sent shortly after 7:30 p.m., Saskatoon Police Service (SPS) reported a significant police presence and some traffic restriction in the area.

People were asked to avoid the area while police investigate.

Limited details have been released, and the identity of the deceased has not been disclosed.

Anyone with information is asked to call police or crime stoppers.

Police say an update will be provided when new information becomes known.
