A 40-year-old man from Meadow Lake is dead after a single-vehicle rollover on Highway 55.

RCMP were called to the scene east of Flying Dust First Nation at around 6:15 a.m. on Thursday.

The man, who was the only person in the car was pronounced dead at the scene by EMS, RCMP said in a release on Friday. His family has been notified.

Police say they continue to investigate with the assistance of a Saskatchewan RCMP collision reconstructionist.

Highway 55 was temporarily closed but has since been re-opened.

Meadow Lake is about 295 kilometres northwest of Saskatoon.
