A 68-year-old man from Rosthern who was reported missing a month ago was found dead on Friday.

Kirk Brayford was reported missing on Dec. 2 after he had not been in touch with friends and family for two weeks, which RCMP say was unusual for him. Since then, Rosthern RCMP and the Brayford family have been searching to locate him.

According to RCMP, he was driving a white 2012 Mazda 3 with Saskatchewan license plate 447 HBS, which also had not been seen since he was reported missing.

In a news release sent on Friday, the Saskatchewan RCMP confirmed that Brayford had been found dead. Police say his family has been notified.

RCMP do not consider the death suspicious, and the investigation has been handed over to the Saskatchewan Coroners Service.
