A nine-year-old boy who went missing Thursday afternoon was found to be safe early Friday afternoon.

Saskatoon police issued a media release shortly after 12 p.m. Friday seeking public assistance locating Jonte Montgrand. A second media release sent around 1:30 p.m. stated he was located.

Montgrand had last been seen in the city’s Massey Place neighbourhood at 3:25 p.m. Thursday leaving Bishop Klein School on the 1100 block of Northumberland Avenue.

Police thanked the public for their help in locating Montgrand.
