Two men were in court Monday following a fatal fight outside a Saskatoon pub early Sunday morning. A 25-year-old woman died from stab wounds -- the victim of the city's second homicide this year.

Police were called to the parking lot outside Dublin's Bar and Grill on Fairlight Drive. When they arrived, officers found the woman still alive -- and two men -- Preston and Kingsley Shingoose from the Kamsack area -- suffering from stab wounds.

Saskatoon police spokesperson Alyson Edwards says detectives have a broad investigation on their hands.

"There was a brawl that started basically inside the establishment then continued on outside involving a number of people," Edwards says.

After doctors treated their injuries, detectives questioned, and then charged, 19-year-old Mitchell George Matechuk and 21-year-old Jordan Aaron Smith with two counts each of aggravated assault. The accusations follow the attacks on the Kamsack men – who at last word -- are expected to recover.

Meanwhile, Edwards says an autopsy is being performed on the body of the woman who died.

"So, we have quite a lot of information to go through before we are ready to lay further charges."

Police have yet to lay any charges related to the woman's death. Matechuk and Smith are scheduled back in Saskatoon Provincial Court Wednesday morning.
