Josie Steeves believes Saskatoon should work for everyone.
A co-founder of Align Co-operative and former President of the University of Saskatchewan Students’ Union, she is an experienced leader in the community committed to equity and fairness. She will be a persistent and loud voice for Ward 6, and will call for a strong Council that is at the centre of decision-making within the city. With a Master’s degree in Political Science and an almost-completed PhD in Educational Administration, Josie will make that happen.
Ward 6 has been Josie’s home since 2004, where she has been an advocate on issues of housing affordability, increased access to public transit, and a safe active transportation infrastructure. As a renter herself, Josie is keenly interested in the rights of tenants, and believes these kinds of perspectives must be included to build a city that works for everyone.
