Fire investigators now say a house fire earlier this month was caused by fireworks that were set off in the basement. Police have laid a charge in connection with the blaze.
Fire crews were called to the house in the Sutherland area on August 13th. There was thick black smoke billowing from the front door. A 22-year-old woman suffered life threatening injuries in the fire and remains in critical condition. A 27-year-old Saskatoon man now faces a charge of criminal negligence causing bodily harm. The fire caused about 200-thousand dollars damage.
