Two brothers wanted in connection to a brutal assault on Saskatoon’s Central Avenue are expected to turn themselves in next week.

The lawyer for Darren and Darcy Hinds says they are in Alberta but will turn themselves in on Monday.

Both are facing two charges of aggravated assault in relation to the Nov. 28 attack, which was caught on camera. Darren is also charged with uttering threats to cause death.

Footage of the assault shows two people being attacked by two men on the 900 block of Central Avenue. The two assailants in the video are seen kicking the victims in the head after they’ve fallen to the ground.

The victims, a 32-year-old man and a 43-year-old man, sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries, according to police.

Both Darren, 28, and Darcy, 25, are former University of Saskatchewan Huskies football players. Saskatoon police wrote in a media release Thursday that investigators had requested warrants for their arrests.
