Police have identified two men allegedly responsible for a violent assault captured on video outside a Saskatoon bar.

The Saskatoon Police Service wrote in a media release Thursday that investigators have requested warrants for the arrests of 28-year-old Darren Hinds and 25-year-old Darcy Hinds.

Both are facing two charges of aggravated assault, while Darren is also charged with uttering threats to cause death. The brothers are former University of Saskatchewan Huskies football players.

The assault — which took place Nov. 28, according to police — was captured on video and posted to YouTube.

The footage shows two people being attacked by two men on the 900 block of Central Avenue. The two assailants in the video are seen kicking the victims in the head after they’ve fallen to the ground.

The victims, a 32-year-old man and a 43-year-old man, sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
