A 32 year old Prince Albert man is in custody following an armed robbery is Saskatoon last week.

It happened on December 18th at a video store on Idylwyld Drive and 37th Street. The suspect entered the store and threatened a female employee with a hand gun while demanding cash.  Police say no one was injured during the incident.

Surveillance photos and media attention provided information to police about the possible identity of the suspect involved.  Police eventually arrested the accused at a residence on Avenue U North and 29th Street west.

The gun believed to be used in the robbery has been deteremined to be an imitation handgun. 

The suspect faces charges of Armed Robbery with a Weapon, Possession of an imitation weapon and the use of a firearm while committing an indictable offence.
