Saskatoon police released a photo Thursday of a 31-year-old man wanted in connection with the armed robbery of a downtown jewellery store.
The man — identified as Gary Alexander Iron — is wanted for armed robbery and breach of undertaking.
Police were called Sept. 12 to a jewellery store on the 200 block of 2nd Avenue South around 2:45 p.m.
A lone man wearing a Saskatchewan Roughriders jersey — with the number 13 — and a green New York Yankees hat entered the store, armed with a knife, and pushed a female employee out of the way before grabbing merchandise and fleeing on foot.
A warrant has been issued for Iron’s arrest.
Anyone with information on the incident or Iron’s whereabouts is asked to contact police at 306-975-8300 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
