Traffic might be moving at a snail’s pace on a major Saskatoon bridge this spring.
The city is hoping to begin major repairs to the University Bridge in May. The project, which will cost between $6 million and $8 million, involves resurfacing the entire bridge deck.
The bridge will reduce to one lane of traffic during the work, the city said. Traffic heading into downtown from College Drive and Clarence Avenue will be re-routed.
The project, which is expected to be completed in four months, is the first time major repair to the bridge since 1971.
