In the wake of layoffs and financial troubles, the University of Saskatchewan is taking another step towards improving efficiencies.

The university is launching a commission aimed at streamlining processes and reducing red tape. The commission’s job is to identify barriers and bureaucracies that are burden, particularly when it comes to teaching and research.

Students, staff, and faculty at the U of S will have the chance to submit suggestions.

It is still unknown if this new step will result in cost cutting or layoffs.
