A teenager has been charged in connection with alleged threats at a North Battleford high school.

RCMP say they received a complaint about threats made on Facebook at John Paul II Collegiate on Wednesday afternoon.

An RCMP news release that was emailed to media Thursday with “school shooting threats” in the subject line contained no further details about the alleged incident.

An 18-year-old man from the Little Pine First Nation was arrested and charged with two counts of uttering threats.

His name isn't being released to protect the identity of one of the alleged victims, who is a youth.

The man appeared in provincial court Thursday morning in North Battleford.
