Investigators are treating the sudden death of a man in Sucker River as suspicious.

RCMP were called to the northern Saskatchewan community, located about 30 kilometres north of La Ronge, shortly after 3 a.m. Saturday. A man was found dead when police arrived, RCMP said in a media release.

Police say they've yet to determine his identity.

The RCMP’s major crimes north unit is investigating the death alongside Prince Albert RCMP officers, members of the Prince Albert and Tisdale forensic identification teams, and the coroner’s office.
