Saskatoon extends smoking bylaw to include parks, other city-run outdoor facilities

Saskatoon city council has approved new smoking restrictions.

On Monday, councillors voted in favour of extending the city’s smoking bylaw to public parks and any other publicly operated facility.

That includes sports fields, pools, arenas, and any public space operated by the city.

The bylaw is set to come into effect Jan. 1.
