Remains of missing 80-year-old man have been found

The search for a Saskatoon man has come to an end more than a year after it began.

RCMP is confirming the remains of 80-year-old Michael Joseph O’Keeffe were pulled from the river on Saturday.

His body was found on a sandbar on the South Saskatchewan River.

O’Keeffe went missing on May 4, 2014. He was last seen near the river by the Berry Barn.

Foul play is not suspected.
