Shellbrook RCMP are investigating a structure first on Ahtahkakoop First Nation earlier this month that they are calling suspicious.
The fire broke out on April 17 around 3:40 a.m. According to police, officers arrived to find the Social Development Building completely engulfed in flames. Firefighters from the community were trying to keep the fire from spreading to other buildings. RCMP say firefighters from Saskatchewan Emergency Management and Fire Safety in Prince Albert were also called to the blaze.
The building is considered a total loss. No one was injured in the fire.
RCMP say the fire is being treated as suspicious and the investigation is ongoing.
