A woman found dead in a Raymore, Sask., home Monday has been identified as 27-year-old Shauna Maureen Welch of Moose Jaw.

RCMP confirmed the victim’s identity Wednesday and said in a news release they are still treating the sudden death as suspicious.

Police were called to a residence on the 1000 block of 4th Avenue in Raymore around 9:35 p.m. Monday following a report of an unresponsive person.

A woman inside the home, now identified as Welch, was pronounced dead on scene.

A spokesperson for the RCMP would not say why police consider the death suspicious.

Police are still investigating the incident.
