One of the men involved in a snake-throwing incident at a Saskatoon Tim Hortons has been sentenced.
He was facing charges of causing a disturbance and mischief, and in court Thursday he was given a conditional discharge. The six-month probationary sentence means if he follows certain conditions, he won’t end up with a criminal record.
Police say officers were called to the Tim Hortons on 22nd Street and Avenue F last December after two men, upset that diced onions weren’t put on their sandwich, threw a snake behind the counter.
Police caught the snake, which they named Outlaw, and released it to an animal sanctuary.
A bench warrant is out for the other man accused in the incident.
