A Kinley, Sask., man is facing a second-degree murder charge in connection to the death of a 36-year-old woman last week.

According to media release from RCMP, officers from the Biggar detachment received a call, on Jan. 24, of a sudden death.

Beverly Littlecrow, also from Kinley, was pronounced dead at a Saskatoon hospital that day, Mounties said.

About one week later, on Tuesday, a 44-year-old man was arrested without incident at a business in Saskatoon. He’s facing one count of second-degree murder in relation to Littlecrow’s death, RCMP said.

Littlecrow and the suspect were known to each other, according to police.

The man appeared in Biggar Provincial Court Wednesday morning and has been remanded into custody.

He’s expected to make another court appearance in North Battleford Provincial Court later this month.

Kinley is located about 55 kilometres west of Saskatoon.
