A 28-year-old man is facing assault charges after a terrifying ordeal at a Riversdale area home Friday morning.

Saskatoon police were called to the 400 block of Avenue H South around 10:40 a.m. A woman reported a man entered the house where she and two others were present. He allegedly physically assaulted her and threatened another occupant of the house.

The woman was able to flee and call for help.

Police found the suspect unresponsive when they arrived and he was transported to hospital. There was no evidence of injury, police said, but alcohol was a factor in the incident.

The woman and other occupants were not physically injured.

The man was charged with two counts of common assault, two counts of breaching a conditional sentence and two counts of breach of recognizance.
