Damage is estimated at $300,000 after a house fire Sunday in Saskatoon’s Dundonald neighbourhood.

Firefighters arrived a home on the 100 block of Makaroff Road just before 8 p.m. to find flames coming from the rear of the house, the Saskatoon Fire Department said in a news release.

The fire was brought under control in 15 minutes and crews worked to protect neighbouring houses from the flames.

The occupants of the home had exited the residence before firefighters arrived and no one was injured.

Earlier Sunday, a fire at a townhouse on Gray Avenue resulted in an estimated $150,000 damage to a second-floor bedroom and roof.

One person was treated at the scene for smoke inhalation and taken to hospital in stable condition.

Investigators are working to determine the cause of both fires.
