A baby boy is dead in Saskatoon’s ninth homicide of 2016.

Around 7:00 a.m. on July 3, 2016, police were called to a report of an injured baby boy in the 200 block of Waterloo Crescent. The baby was taken to Royal University Hospital, where he died of his injuries.

A 16-year-old girl, who is not related to the baby, is in custody.

The Major Crime Unit, the Forensic Identification Unit and the Chief Coroner’s office are all investigating the homicide.
