A 17-year-old youth is facing a second-degree murder charge after he turned himself in to police on Saturday.

On Friday evening Prince Albert police and paramedics were called to a home on the 800 block of River Street. They found 36-year-old Johnathan Kasagan in critical condition and rushed him to hospital where he was later pronounced dead. An autopsy is scheduled for Monday.

Police continue to investigate this crime and are not seeking anymore suspects. They say this was not a random act of violence.

The youth is scheduled to appear in Prince Albert Provincial Court on Monday.
