Three people are facing charges after a weekend shooting in Saskatoon’s College Park neighbourhood.

Police were called to the shooting Saturday night at a home on the 200 block of Carleton Drive. A 28-year-old man was found suffering from a gunshot wound, police said in a media release, and bear spray had been deployed inside the residence.

Two men matching the suspects’ descriptions were spotted walking on Central Avenue by officers responding to the shooting. A police dog was called to track the suspects and the two were eventually taken into custody.

A gun, machete and bear spray were also found, according to police.

Three people — two men, 23 and 30 years old, and a 23-year-old woman — have since been charged. They are set to appear in Saskatoon Provincial Court Wednesday morning.

The shooting victim was treated at the scene for non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
