Saskatoon police investigating stabbing incidents that left 3 men seriously injured
Saskatoon police say two men were seriously injured in an apparent stabbing incident involving a machete and knife Thursday morning.
Officers were called to the rear of a building on the 600 block of 20th Street West around 9 a.m. where they found a 39-year-old man suffering from serious injuries, a Saskatoon Police Service (SPS) news release said.
The man was taken to Royal University Hospital for treatment.
Later that day police were sent to St. Paul’s Hospital where a 45-year-old man, who was believed to have been involved in the incident, sought treatment for serious injuries.
Police believe an altercation took place between several people, leading to the injuries.
In another incident at around 1:30 p.m., police were called to a convenience store in the 1500 block of 22nd Street East where they located a 43 year old man suffering from a non-life-threatening stab wound.
Further investigation determined the victim and another man were driving away from the location when the victim suddenly stopped the Ford F150 he was driving, exited the vehicle, and sought assistance for injuries.
Police say at the same time the suspect fled the scene in the vehicle. The truck was later located in the 700 block of Idylwyld Drive North.
As of Friday morning, no arrests have been announced by police.
