Margaret-Rose Uvery - Green Party

Margaret-Rose Uvery

Born in Saskatoon, Uvery served her country in the RCAF and CF, retiring in 1993 to return to Prince Albert as the primary caregiver of her grandmother.

Volunteering has always been important, and she has served in many different capacities, including as a crime watch patroller and First Responder in her community of Hafford.

A strong Environmentalist, Uvery has always lived conservatively, cared deeply about her ecological footprint, and believed in open, respectful communication.

Despite having to maintain political neutrality during her Military career, when asked to stand as a Green Party candidate, she was honoured to become involved in Participatory Democracy.

Scott Moe – SaskParty

Scott Moe

Moe was born and raised in the constituency on a grain farm in between Shellbrook and Parkside. He is currently a small business owner in the area and has previous experience in agricultural equipment sales, agricultural production and custom application.

Moe was educated at the University of Saskatchewan where he received his Bachelor of Science in Agriculture degree.

Following his nomination, Moe noted that he is ready to work hard for the people of Rosthern-Shellbrook. "I am honoured to be the candidate for the Saskatchewan Party and I'm ready to work hard to listen to all the voices in the Rosthern-Shellbrook area and to continue building a strong team so that we are successful on November 7."

Moe is active in the community through his work with the Economic Development Corporation, the Shellbrook and District Health Services Project Inc., and the Shellbrook and District Physician Recruitment Committee. He has also volunteered his time to work with local hockey and softball associations.

Moe and his wife Krista live in Shellbrook with their two children.

Clay DeBray - NDP

Clay DeBray

DeBray was selected as the NDP candidate for Rosthern-Shellbrook on December 18, 2010.

"I am delighted to welcome Clay to the NDP team as we look to give the residents of Rosthern- Shellbrook real representation in 2011," said Saskatchewan NDP Leader Dwain Lingenfelter. "Clay has taught and worked with communities and young people throughout the province. He will bring his formidable leadership and organizational skills to his next role as the MLA for Rosthern-Shellbrook."

Born and raised in Duck Lake, DeBray is currently the Meìtis Community Sport Consultant with Sask Sport Inc. He focuses on development and leadership with community stakeholders. Also a teacher, DeBray has extensive Saskatchewan and international leadership and organizational and management experience in various areas of community recreational development.

Among his many volunteer roles, DeBray has served on several boards and committees that assisted in the development of sport for Aboriginal people and communities. He has been a coordinator at the North American Indigenous Games and the co-chairman for the Saskatchewan First Nations Summer Games. He has coached Team Saskatchewan at the National Aboriginal Hockey Championships, the Beardys Blackhawks AAA Midget hockey team, the North Battleford AAA Midget Stars hockey team and was the Softball Coordinator for the 2006 North American Indigenous Games.

DeBray and his wife Darcella have two sons.

Liberal Party - 6.09 per cent of vote

Green Party - 2.27 per cent of vote
