There's been a sudden change to the radio waves in Saskatoon. A local FM station has changed its tune. Harvard broadcasting has pulled the plug on Wired 96.3. The on-air staff was let go Thursday. The company says it plans to take things in a new programming direction. For now, the station will play Christmas music.

A news release from Harvard Broadcasting says a brand new radio station will take that spot on the dial beginning at noon December 26th.

Wired 96.3 launched in April of 2008 with a contemporary hit radio format. The station was designed to cater to a younger audience.
