For aboriginal youth with the dream of becoming a golf pro, there’s only one man to look up to.
American PGA veteran Notah Begay is the only full-blooded Native American on the PGA tour, and he was in Saskatoon Saturday meeting with young people from La Ronge and Stanley Mission.
The clinic was put on by Cameco and the Dakota Dunes Open. Begay gave a group lesson to the kids, and even provided one-on-one instruction.
While golf was the focus of the day, Begay said he also hoped the day would teach kids about the importance of good education and staying healthy.
