The highly anticipated opening of two new schools in Saskatoon is now up in the air.

Willowgrove public and Holy Family Catholic elementary schools were supposed to open at the beginning of this school year, but construction delays have since pushed back the opening date several times.

The latest update said the schools would open in late January or early February. However, letters sent to parents last month said there is now no set opening date for the joint schools.

Students enrolled in the schools, which share one building, have been attending other schools since the beginning of the school year.

About 300 students enrolled in Willowgrove are attending either Dr. John G. Egnatoff or Ecole Forest Grove schools, while Father Robinson and St. Volodymyr have welcomed over 300 students enrolled at Holy Family.
