A 42-year-old man is recovering from a stab wound after he was robbed of his wallet early Thursday morning.

Police say it happened just after midnight on the 800 block of Confederation Drive where a man reported to police that two women and another mad had stabbed him and taken his wallet.

The incident reportedly started when the man offered three strangers a ride, picking them up near 22nd Street West and Avenue H. Police say the three suspects asked the man to drive them to Confederation Drive where they then robbed him. The victim was taken to hospital by ambulance with a wound to his thigh.

Police are still seeking further description of the suspects. One woman is described as being tall and the other as short, while the man was described as tall and slim.
