A man has died after an explosion and fire at a rural residence near Maidstone.
Police were called to the home on Range Road 3233, south of Maidstone, after a report of an explosion Wednesday evening.
When they arrived, they found the body of the man inside the home. A second man outside the home was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The house sustained significant damage as a result of the explosion and fire.
Police do not believe the cause of the explosion is criminal in nature, and they do not believe there is any danger to the public.
