The Lingerie Football League (LFL) is re-branding and making changes.

The biggest change? No more lingerie.

“This is the next step in the maturation of our now global sport,” Mitchell Mortaza, the league’s founder and chairman, said in a press release on Wednesday.

“While the Lingerie Football League name has drawn great media attention allowing us to showcase the sport to millions, we have now reached a crossroad of gaining credibility as a sport or continuing to be viewed as a gimmick,” Mortaza continued in the release.

According to the release, the lingerie aspects of the uniform will be replaced with performance wear. The players’ shoulder pads are also being redesigned to increase protection.

Besides the uniform, the re-branding includes a new league name and tag line. The LFL will now be known as the Legends Football League, and the old tagline “True Fantasy Football” is being replaced with “Women of the Gridiron”.
