Highway 16 near Radisson is now open.
The eastbound lanes were shut down Wednesday because of major flooding. Only large vehicles and semis were allowed through, other small cars had to take an 88 kilometer detour.
The Ministry of Highways and Infrastructure brought in eight pumps and an aquadam to fight the water and at approximately 3:40 Friday morning, the water levels were low enough to re-open the road to all traffic.
There are still flagpeople on the scene monitoring water levels and message boards were set up to alert drivers.
