I am married to Sarah Buhler, a law professor at the University of Saskatchewan and have three children, Simon, Ben, and Rachel. For 10 years, I have been the City Councillor for Ward 6. I have received Planet S Magazine‘s City Councillor of the Year award for all but one of the years I was a councillor. I was recognized as a city builder in Spacing Magazine, the national urban planning magazine. I have presented nationally at conferences on affordable housing, urban development, and policing and community safety issues.
My professional background is in the area of mediation and community economic development.
