Canada-wide warrants have been issued for two more men in connection with a jewelry store robbery and vehicle fire in Saskatoon.

Pierre Louis Hernandes, 29, and Rida Niam, 24, are wanted on charges of armed robbery, wearing a disguise during the commission of an offence and conspiracy to commit arson. Hernandes is also wanted for breach of probation.

The two were allegedly involved in the Feb. 1 robbery of Birks jewelry on Third Avenue South.

Four men wearing construction-style jackets and black balaclavas and brandishing crowbars smashed display cases and stole a large quantity of jewelry, including Rolex watches. A Dodge Caravan — used as the getaway vehicle in the robbery — was found burning near the University of Saskatchewan campus about 90 minutes after the suspects broke into Birks.

Surveillance footage from the jewelry store was released shortly after the incident.

Muhidiin Ahmed-Farah, 28, was arrested last month in Montreal in connection to the robbery and vehicle fire. He returned to Saskatoon to face charges of armed robbery, wearing a disguise during the commission of an offence and conspiracy to commit arson. He has since been convicted and sentenced to four years in prison.

Anyone with information on the robbery or on Pierre Louis Hernandez or Rida Niam is asked to contact Crime Stoppers or their local police.
