Several homes and a building under construction have been damaged after a fire early Friday morning on the 300 block of Veltkamp Crescent.
Several 911 calls came in from people in the area around 3:40 a.m.
When crews arrived, they found flames shooting from a multi-unit home under construction.
Residents in neighbouring homes were evacuated, and homes on both the east and west sides of the fire were damaged on the outside. A Jeep parked nearby was also damaged.
Crews were able to bring the fire under control in about 45 minutes. Firefighters are still on scene putting out hot spots.
No one was injured as a result of the fire, and a cause and damage estimate have not been determined.
