RCMP say the death of a 49-year-old woman whose body was discovered Thursday along the bank of the Saskatchewan River is not suspicious or criminal in nature.
Investigators made that determination based on evidence gathered at the scene, including personal items that were identified by the woman’s family.
The woman’s name is not being released at the family's request.
An autopsy had been ordered, but RCMP now say it won’t be necessary since the woman’s identity has been confirmed.
