A 73-year-old woman who firefighters pulled from a burning house Thursday night was unable to recover in hospital.
She died in hospital the following day, according to a Saskatoon Fire and Protective Services media release.
The woman was transported to Royal University Hospital Thursday with serious injuries after fire crews found her inside a burning home at 922 Eighth Street East near Clarence Avenue.
A fire investigator last week determined cooking was the cause of the fire.
The death is the second recorded fire-related death in Saskatoon this year.
