RCMP say two teens have been arrested after several stolen trucks were recovered in west-central Saskatchewan.

Both boys were taken into custody early Monday morning. The first teen, a 14-year-old, was arrested after two stolen trucks were recovered abandoned.

The trucks had been involved in a collision at Highway 16 and Highway 21, according to RCMP. One of the vehicles was recovered at the crash scene, near Maidstone, Sask., while the other was recovered near Paynton, Sask.

The second teen, 16 years old, was arrested after a third vehicle was recovered — this time in the Battlefords area.

All three vehicles were reported stolen from Maidstone, police say.

A fourth vehicle, stolen from the Battlefords, was also recovered early Monday.

Mounties did not clarify if all four reported thefts are related, but said investigators believe more suspects are still at large.
