A man is dead after he became pinned under the semi-trailer he was driving north of Prince Albert, Sask.
RCMP say the semi, which was hauling logs, became stuck in mud along Highway 2, about five kilometers south of the Waskesiu Lake junction, around 1:30 a.m. Monday.
The driver called in another employee to help remove the semi from the mud and while those efforts were underway, the driver became pinned under the cab of the semi, RCMP said.
The driver of the semi was pronounced dead at the scene. His name hasn’t been released.
The highway was closed for several hours while the scene was cleared. The incident remains under investigation.
