A man from Sturgeon Lake First Nation has been sentenced for child pornography and sex offences.
George Sanderson was given a three-year sentence with credit for time served Tuesday after pleading guilty to making and distributing child pornography, and to three counts of sexual interference.
The 23-year-old’s sentence follows incidents with three teenage boys on the James Smith Cree Nation. Police say Sanderson met the boys through social media.
Sturgeon Lake First Nation is located about 40 kilometres northwest of Prince Albert. James Smith Cree Nation is about 65 kilometres east of the city.
