The Saskatoon Police Service is continuing to investigate an alleged assault.
Police and MD Ambulance officials responded to the corner of Avenue T South and 18th Street W around 10:25 a.m. Sunday.
Upon arrival, a 31-year-old man was found on the ground and police say he was highly intoxicated at the time.
The man was transported to St. Paul’s hospital. Police said the man has several warrants for his arrest and have him under guard.
Some witnesses in the area say they saw an altercation of some sort.
Police are continuing to investigate the possibility of an assault occurring and hope the injured man will provide more information.
The identity of the man is not being released at this time.
