Claudia Bryden says she can't stay quiet any longer.

Her story starts in 2002, but it's after ten years of waiting that she's speaking up. Ten years ago, the former police officer in the RM of Corman Park made complaints against her police chief. She says the chief ordered her to destroy evidence from a murder investigation.

Bryden was later dismissed from her job and eventually fired. An independent police agency looked into her accusations, but ruled in favour of the chief.

"I was only doing my job. To have my career taken away from me and it wasn't just a matter of me being fired; I had my name dragged through the mud."

She's been trying for years to get a copy of the report that led to her firing, but hasn't been allowed to see it. She says that's unjust.

"If I'm being fired because I'm being accused of lying about something then I believe I have the right to see that evidence."
