The key witness at the trial of George Mitchell Allgood didn’t appear in court Wednesday as scheduled.
Allgood, 49, is charged with first degree murder in the death of Susan Reinhardt. She was shot in the back in her home on 4th Avenue North in July 2006. David Ristow was also shot in the back, but he survived. Ristow was supposed to testify Wednesday, but the court was told he was in the hospital.
The crown said he may have tried to commit suicide.
The trial is continuing and is being heard by a judge alone.
